A note from the founder
I started this studio in 2009, as Quirk Brand Communication. The name pointed at a personality, ours, being a little unconventional. It never described how we actually worked: reading every brief ourselves, asking more questions than the brief answered, building every brand from a blank page instead of a template left over from the last client.
We renamed the studio zero.works because that's the actual method. Every project starts at zero. Sixteen years in, the team has grown and the tools have changed. AI-fluent workflows let us move faster than we could a few years ago. What we check every piece of work against before it goes out is the same as it's always been.
If you're reading this as a prospective client, or as someone thinking about joining us, the same four things apply either way: people first, curiosity always, craft without ego, aim higher.
